At this point I am using Fedora Core Linux more out of inertia than anything else. Every time I update, there is always a bunch of thinks broken.

The update from FC4 to FC6 went pretty smoothly.

I got a conflict on ffmpeg between linva and FC6, clearly conflicts between these repositories. So I disabled the extra repos and the uninstalled mplayer and mplayerplug-in.
